Mr. Chan has tutored me throughout the two years of IB Diploma program, helping me to overcome the challenges I faced in HL Chemistry, as well as the internal assessments of both HL Chemistry and SL Physics. Since I had a tendency of understanding every single word in textbooks, which was obviously really time-consuming, I struggled a lot at the beginning. Soon after Mr. Chan has tutored me, I found my IB life much more easier.
Mr. Chan was able to explain very complicated and abstract concepts clearly and patiently. His help enhanced my learning progress a lot as he was always patient and tried to break down the theories and concepts. Although I was a really slow learner, I truly understood that he was not frustrated by my performance, hence having high expectations on me. Mr. Chan was not only a good tutor, but also acted as an extremely knowledgeable and experienced good friend of mine in these two years. He constantly reminded me to get a balance between study and rest, and would give me advices on how to survive through the IB journey.
I particularly loved the online past paper database that Mr. Chan had created because it was the key for me to obtain exceptionally good grades in my final IB exam. The database provided me past paper of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, leading me to get a 7 for all the above subjects in the end. Moreover, Mr. Chan was really good at looking into details and being organized, which were always reflected whenever we tried to work through the internal assessments together. He taught me how to write laboratory reports in a proper manner, which is a really useful skill for my university study. Hence, Mr. Chan did not only help me to survive through IB, but also posed long term impacts on me as my future study in the Psychological field will definitely require such skill.
My IB journey has ended. I am glad to say that I will become an official fresher of University College London (UCL) in the coming academic year. Still, without the help of Mr. Chan, I would never be able to get a 43 in my final IB exam and get into my dream university. Therefore, this letter is written to show my gratitude and respect to Mr. Chan, and to recommend him as an outstanding academic tutor.

For two years, I have been under tutelage of Mr. Chan, who assisted my Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Physics in (I)GCSE, IB, SAT, HKDSE, and A-levels.
Since a young age, I have never been particularly skilled in Mathematics but yet managed well enough without the help of any tutors. However, the International Baccalaureate is a demanding and laborious curriculum that required me to scout for a tutor in order to aim for the grade I needed. After going through 3 Math tutors, Mr. Chan, at first there to assist me in Higher Level Biology, offered his services to teach both subjects. Through his guidance, I have managed to recover my grades in Math Standard Level from a low 3 to a 5 for my predicted grade.
I will like to personally thank him for giving his time to help me through my IB journey. He is a respectful, dedicated and exceptional teacher, who is willing to give his time cultivating his students in order to achieve the grade they want. Thus, because of these reasons, I, without doubt, wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Chan to those who wish to find a tutor that will unquestionably give you the grade you wish to achieve.
