Mr. Chan has been my tutor for the HL Biology and Chemistry subjects for the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB). Over the course, he has not only driven me to excel in examinations but also has been a source of encouragement throughout these stressful times. Despite myself not being the greatest at understanding concepts quickly, Mr. Chan has patiently explained them repeatedly, simply and understandably. He has great knowledge of the IB Chemistry and Biology syllabi as well as possessing a wide variety of useful resources which have aided my learning greatly. Under his guidance, I was able to achieve a 44/45 in the IB diploma and subsequently meet all of my university offers for Medicine in both Hong Kong and the UK. Mr. Chan has been my private tutor for the International Baccalaureate Diploma HL Chemistry and Biology subjects for two years (2018-2020). Thanks to his patience and in-depth coverage, I obtained excellent grades in both subjects (i.e., 7s). Mr. Chan knows the IB syllabi very well and was able to give me much-needed guidance. He taught me how to tackle exam questions with finesse and practical techniques. I would like to express my gratitude to Mr Chan for his teaching over the past 4 years. From my junior Chemistry+Biology to IB Chemistry HL, he has guided me to improve greatly and achieved great results.

When I first started learning with him, I was at the bottom of my class in chemistry. Mr Chan was able to rapidly fill in my knowledge gap while keeping up with my class progress, eventually helping me achieve the highest score in class in the second term. After I got into IB, he utilised a large amount of different resources and teaching materials such as textbook and past paper questions to help hone my answer-writing skills. By learning ahead of the syllabus, I was able to learn about interesting topics before they were taught in school, ultimately choosing the topic of my IA. I was also able to consistently score 7s in tests and exams at my school, achieving the top of my class in my G11 finals for chemistry.

Ultimately, I received a 7 in chemistry and was able to meet my offer, going to Oxford to study Earth Sciences. I am forever grateful for his help throughout this time.
