I am a S3 student studying in a local school in Hong Kong. I have recently taken the IGCSE 4EB1 English Exam in Jan 2020 as a private candidate. To be honest, I am not familiar with the IGCSE exam and its curriculum at all. I do need someone’s help to guide me through the exam requirements. Luckily enough, I am managed to find a good teacher, Mark from Brighten Youth Education Centre.

Mark is a very responsible teacher with deep knowledge and passion in teaching. I have a hectic schedule due to the school works as well as extra circular activities to handle every day at school. Mark is also a busy teacher with back to back tutorials every day. With the limited time frame, we tried our best to squeeze time to get me familiarized with the IGCSE exam, going through all the important techniques and tips with me before the exam. Mark has given me a lot of advice and encouragement throughout the whole period. He is very supportive. Finally, I received my results and scored 8, a “A*” on my English exam. I am so happy with the outcome and this has proven that all our efforts were not in vain! I really want to say a big “Thank You” to Mark for all his help.

Mark is an amazing English teacher. He taught me to be aware of certain question types and gave me tips on how I should answer them. At first, I didn’t have much confidence, but Mark kept encouraging me and practiced answering questions with me, which helped me regain it.

Mark is very engaging and nice. He is patient and is actually willing to listen, which, in my opinion is a fundamental quality of any good teacher. Aside from helping me with the IGCSEs, Mark also introduced me to numerous writers and books, which enhanced my knowledge and inspired me greatly. During some lessons, he even taught me psychology, and we had interesting and in-depth discussions, which motivated me to think more.

Mark is very friendly and easy to get along with. His teaching style is casual and puts absolutely no pressure on the students. I feel at ease whenever I have his lessons.

In the end, I got a 9 in my IGCSE English paper, and I couldn’t thank him enough for the patience and continuous support he had given me. Without his tips and remarks, I wouldn’t have been able to achieve such a great result. Mark is really quite a teacher.

感恩在倆孩子成長期間，遇到晉博教育中心，感謝中心在以往好幾年間成長中老師們都成為他們很大的幫助，多謝中心和老師付出的心血，更難得是他們都喜歡去補習，特別是細仔，佢很喜歡同老師做朋友、在老師身上學習到很多，所以佢珍惜每一堂、去了補習後也改變佢成為一個喜愛閱讀的人、所以佢閱讀很多不同的書。現在大仔已工作，細仔在美留學，他們倆的英文程度我一直未擔心，現在反而擔心他們不識中文呢？

我好感恩倆孩子很懂事，他們各自找到他們人生方向、目標，感謝神保守他們行正路，也感謝中心及老師們對他們過往付出的心機、付出，多謝你們！
